SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:

AMGADS III vapour monitoring system is a pre-engineered system designed to be utilized on any type of alternately fuelled vehicle. The system can be installed by the vehicle OEM or retrofitted. Its advanced technology can detect: Propane (LPG), Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and any other hydrocarbon fuel vapours.

School Buses, Shuttle Buses, Taxi Cabs, Paratransit Vans, Transit Buses, Postal Vehicles, Delivery Vehicles, Over the Road Vehicles, Waste Vehicles, Fork Lifts, any light, medium or heavy duty vehicle utilising an alternate type of fuel.

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

AMGADS III utilises two (2) sensors for identifying methane vapours. The system operates with both a visual and an audible alarm to warn the operator of potential danger. It alarms at a trace level (20% LEL) and a significant level (50% LEL) of vapour concentration. System and correct sensor operation are constantly monitored and feature dual zone sensing capabilities. In addition, the AMGADS III PLUS version has an internal relay for automatic control of auxiliary devices (i.e. engine shutdown, fuel valve shutoff and auxiliary alarm).

Sensor Superiority

The gas sensor is the heart of any gas detection system. The sensor used in AMGADS III is 100% functionally tested and operated for an extended period before it is shipped to the customer, ensuring consistency and reliability while eliminating premature failures.

Amerex goes a step further in its commitment to sensor superiority by ensuring that our sensors are resistant to most toxic chemicals that might reduce the life of other sensors during environmental exposure.

COMPONENTS:

• AMGADS III or AMGADS III Plus control panel
• Modular dual zone wiring harness with 6 ft. (1.8 meter) power connector lead
• Two modular sensor connection leads - 20 ft. (6 meters)
• Two AMGADS III solid state gas sensors with mounting clamps

• Voltage: + 9 to 30 VDC
• Current Draw: 70 mA per sensor @ 30 VDC
• Alarm:
    Trace = 20% LEL
    Significant = 50% LEL
